What are we about?
Crossroad Connections is an organization founded to help connect people to people through banking time and trading resources and skills with others, creating a community that is stronger and healthier. As economic times are hard, we seek to find other ways to keep living life. Based on a bartering system, Crossroad Connections is a trading of services and/or goods with the sole purpose of supporting each other without the exchange of money. You are joined together as individuals for the common good. We all go through times in our life where we just wish someone would come to the rescue and help us out for a season. That's what Crossroad Connections is all about; coming together as a community and starting a chain reaction of blessings.
When you spend an hour to do something for someone in our community through Crossroad Connections Time Trading, you will earn one banked hour to spend having someone do something for you. Everyone's time is worth the same amount, regardless of the type of services performed. Time may be banked for use as early as the next day, or can be saved for use in years to come when you retire and may need more assistance. You must be part of Huntington County to take part in the bank. Crossroad Connections Time Trading is a coordinating program. Although Crossroad Connections exchanges are based on shared values of goodwill, good faith, good intentions, cooperation, sharing and a positive attitude, there is an element of risk involved in all exchanges. Crossroad Connections cannot guarantee the performances of anyone who is referred and cannot be held liable for any injury to persons or damage to property experienced while involved with the exchange.
