Nancy comes into Crossroad Connections to sign up for the 35 for 4 Feed a Family Program. Nancy has the skill of sewing, so she is connected to Susie who needs patches sewn on her boys jeans. Susie knows how to cut hair. Joe’s family is struggling and can’t afford hair cuts right now, so Susie cuts his families hair. Joe has the ability to fix mower’s. He is connected to Dave who has a broken down mower, which in turn allows Dave the opportunity to help Betty, a widow, mow her lawn. Betty becomes a mentor and teaches a cooking class for Mom’s. Holly takes the cooking class to help make better meals for her children. Holly understands the process of saving on groceries with coupons, so she teaches a How to Coupon class. Jane who learns to coupon, saves money on some food that she then donates to the food pantry. Bob is a retired man, who just wants a purpose in life and wants to help people. Bob volunteers and helps in delivering food to people like Nancy, who comes to Crossroad Connections. All were blessed and no one had to have money to get their needs met. People helping people.
