35 for 4 Feed a Family Program
The 35 for 4 Feed a Family Program is a program established to train others how to buy groceries on a budget of $35 per week for a family of four. The program was created as the organization began to see the need in our community for ways to cut a families budget to have more money available to cover expenses such as utilities.
Through teaching meal planning, where to shop and a simple one on one budget evaluation, individuals will be able to save on their grocery budget the way I have for the last 10 plus years and then be able to adjust their budgets to bring relief in other areas.
The 35 for 4 Feed a Family Program was also designed to take a pro-active approach to assisting in feeding families in Huntington County. Families are finding themselves repeatedly having to get help from the local food pantries with no change in their circumstances. At Crossroad Connections we’d like to see families no longer have to seek help from pantries. Through our one-on-one budget counseling and our course in the above stated program, hope will be given to families seeking a change in their finances and lifestyle.
35 for 4 is for everyone wanting to learn how to cut their grocery bills and save money.
At this time, training sessions will be held two times per month. To sign up please call the office number at 355-7030 or register on our site under the 35 for 4 tab. Training dates will be posted on the Crossroad Connections Outreach Calendar. Registration needs to be in one week before session begin. Donations are appreciated but not required to cover materials.
